Saba Homes, where orphans are not just given basic help but are treated with respect like daughters

Best Investment in This World and Akhra

(The following information is provided solely to educate the Muslim community about investing and financial planning. It is hoped that the Ummah will benefit from this effort through greater financial empowerment, enabling the community to live securely with dignity and fulfill their religious and moral obligations towards charitable activities)

First of all, we should all be grateful to Allah (SWT) for bringing us so close to Ramadan which will start in a few days, Inshah Allah. During the eleventh month, I write and share my experience on various investments to benefit this world. However, the next few articles will be on Ramadan and how to make the best of it.

While the focus will be on fasting, reciting Qur’an, and tarweed, we should not forget the millions of less fortunate people around the world, including orphans, widows, and elderly and young who are victims of poverty, disasters, and wars. There will be people that will not have any or enough food for suhoor and iftar.

Just as we plan in advance to get a good return on our worldly investments, we shall also take the matter of investing for our hereafter seriously. Being generous is good but being wise is even better. Do some background research on the organization you are planning to support with your money. When you show generosity towards others, Allah (SWT) shows greater generosity towards you; when He shows his greater generosity, that is something a human brain can’t imagine: only Allah (SWT) knows what he will be getting. Being generous is one of the names and characteristics of Allah (SWT).

You might not see the results immediately or in this world but know that there is something that Allah (SWT) has set aside for you and He will reward you with it at the right time. So being patient is the best approach, I would say.

Prior to Ramadan while you are planning on what to do in Ramadan to perform good deeds and help others, Shaytaan and your Nafs will be major obstacles that you will face. Shaytaan will keep on whispering and scaring you of poverty as a consequence of giving charity.

While your Nafs will encourage you to think of yourself and buy something for yourself, e.g., clothes, a new car, an upgraded phone, etc. This is a battle we all face: some know how to win, others end up losing, which leads to the greater loss in the hereafter. You can choose to donate to causes locally, nationally, and internationally, it is always better to plan in advance so you don’t miss the chance of giving in Ramadan for which Allah Subhan o Taala will reward you way over as compared during the rest of the year.

One of the most important charitable causes which Allah Subhan o Talla has mentioned in the Qur’an several times is helping orphans. Here is the great project of Saba Homes, where orphans are not just given basic help but are treated with respect and honored, which is what Allah (SWT) loves and has encouraged us to do.

If you want to be in the company of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) then this is your way of getting there. For giving Zakat, Sadqa, donate to the orphan girls and boys at Saba Homes during Ramadan.
