US Has to Acknowledge Vital Pakistani Concerns: Mushahid
Washington, DC: Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed told a select audience of media figures, academics, and policy-makers at the Atlantic Council in Washington, that America cannot afford to overlook vital Pakistani concerns in the region. He was addressing the packed forum alongside the former Indian Information Minister, Manesh Tiwary. That approach, he reiterated, hasn’t worked before and won’t work now.
Mushahid maintained that the existing collusion between the Modi regime and the Afghan government is having a destabilizing impact in the region, enhancing extremist violence, and averting peaceful outcomes.
One consequence is a terrorist fallout on Pakistan whose roots are in Afghanistan.
Senator Mushahid Hussain posited that the folly of force has been tested and exposed in Kashmir, with the clear lesson that the just aspirations of the people of Kashmir cannot be subdued by occupying force. India, ultimately, will have to seek a pathway through dialogue.
