PCC resolves 98% complaints in March


KARACHI: Public Complaint Cell (PCC) received as many as 796 complaints in March 2014. The PCC is established on the directives of Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah. Around 98 percent of them are resolved. Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh and PCC incharge Imtiaz Mallah in monthly statement on the performance of the Cell said 285 complaints against the K-Electric service were resolved out of 286. Provincial Ministers and other officers received complaints from the public through telephone and conveyed the same to the officials of concerned department for early redressal.
The complaints pertaining to PTCL were 163 and Karachi Water and Sewerage Board were 176 while 87 complaints were related to the Sindh Police and almost all complaints disposed of. Only 15 complaints are still under process. He advised the general public to register/convey their problems and grievances at Complaint Cell, functioning round the clock on telephone numbers 99202065,99208081, 0800-91915 and 99202007 (fax).
