Senate issues parliamentary calendarPPI
ISLAMABAD: The Senate has issued its parliamentary calendar for year 2014-15. According to the calendar, first session of the Upper House is scheduled to be summoned on 14th of next month, and will last for twelve days. The longest session of the House will begin on 2nd June that will continue till 20th June to debate the finance bill. The House will have to complete113 days proceedings in total during whole parliamentary year. However, the opposition can submit requisition to summon the house sitting at any time. Similarly, the government can also call session at any time to take the House into confidence on any matter of national importance.
