Miankhel new chief justice of PHC

 

PESHAWAR: Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel was sworn in as new chief justice of the Peshawar High Court on Tuesday after the retirement of Mian Fasihul Mulk.
The oath was administered by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah Khan at the Governor’s House in the presence of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, the ministers and senior government officials. Justice Mazhar Miankhel is the senior-most judge of the Peshawar High Court. He hails from southern Dera Ismail Khan district. Miankhel was appointed judge of the Peshawar High Court in 2009 and confirmed in 2011. He will retire in 2019.
