Khurshid Shah says no threat to Nawaz-govt
HYDERABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will back the Nawaz Sharif government if any threat to democracy emerges.
He, however, said that there was no such imminent threat to the democratically elected government.
Speaking to media, he said Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s support for former military ruler Pervez Musharraf was limited to statements.
He said had those who supported Mushararf in 1999 been tried there would have been no dispute.
