MQM delegation calls on Sindh CM

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said on Saturday that his government doesn’t believe in political victimisation. “We are political people and believe in political discourse, ” he said while talking to a 11- member Muttahida Qaumi Movement delegation led by Farooq Sattar.

“There may be some political difference between us, but it doesn’t mean we would victimise the opponents,” he said, adding that he had given clear instructions to the police officers not to listen to illegal instructions.

Farooq Sattar told the chief minister Mirpurkhas and Tando Allahyar police arrested a number of MQM workers on Friday. The chief minister assured the delegation that he would talk to DIG Mirpurkhas to redress genuine grievances of the MQM.
