Area echoes with aerial firing as MQM, PTI workers clash
KARACHI: Workers of MQM and PTI clashed in North Nazimabad area during NA-245 by-election campaign during which the area echoed with aerial firing. The rally of PTI workers and supporters came face-to-face with rally of MQM workers and a supporter, which was on its way to public meeting in Hydri, area of North Nazimabad. The standoff peaked to stone throwing and baton lashing and scuffles in the presence of police and the area echoed with firing by armed men. PTI leader Haleem Adil Shaikh who was in the rally said that the attackers were carrying MQM flags. He demanded end of politics of violence. MQM spokesman Aminul Haq said that his party has won all the elections with vast majority since 1980s till now but the unsuccessful elements including PTI are bent to make the situation of city bad.
