Ex-MQM senator joins Pak Sarzameen Party
KARACHI:Muhammad Ali Brohi, former senator of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday joined the Pak Sarzameen party.
Addressing a press conference at his DHA residence here today, Mustafa Kamal welcomed Brohi and his fellows to the newly-formed party. "Today, the people of Sindh have joined our party," he said.
"Today, members of the MQM's Sindh Zonal Committee have joined Pak Sarzameen party. Former sector in-charges and thousands of activists have joined us in this journey of patriotism."
"Sindhis, Balochis, Pashto-speaking, Urdu-speaking…it is in the interest of Pakistanis that we join as one," said Brohi, who has been a member of the MQM's Zonal committee.
Brohi said that his fellows had decided to join the party because they could no longer see “brother being turned against brother”.
“We saw that our brother were handed guns. They were tainted with the tag of 'RAW agent',” said Brohi.
Kamal said that several fellows of Brohi had decided to join the party, but that they did not have enough seats to accommodate them at the press conference at Kamal House.
"I want to announce today that very soon, we will be opening new offices in Karachi and Sindh," he said.
Kamal said that the scheduled Pak Sarzameen rally in Karachi on April 24 would be "a turning point for Pakistan".
“April 25 will be a new chapter in the history of Pakistan, where nobody will be forced to turn into agents of (Indian spy agency) RAW," he said.
