Pakistan protests with India over firing along LoC

RAWALPINDI: Pakistani on Sunday protested with India over unprovoked firing by its troops along the LoC, a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations said.

The director generals of military operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India contacted on the hotline to discuss ceasefire violation by Indian army late Saturday. “On April, 10 2016 at 1330 hours, hotline contact between DGMOs of’ Pakistan and India was established in the backdrop of ceasefire violation by Indian army on night 9/10 April 2016,” the ISPR news release said. “Issues related to subject ceasefire violation across the line of control were discussed during the hotline contact,” it added. In an earlier release, the ISPR said Indian troops on the Line of Control resorted to heavy unprovoked firing and shelling in Neza Pir sector late night. The unprovoked firing which started at 2340 hrs last Saturday night and lasted till 0445 hrs early Sunday morning.
