PM Nawaz to reach Karachi today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif will reach Karachi today (Monday) on a one-day visit.
Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah will receive him at Masroor Base. The prime minister will hold meetings with both of them and will discuss law and order situation and ongoing operation in the metropolis. PM Nawaz will also attend Pakistan Air Force (PAF) ceremony and will later depart for Thar to lay foundation stone of two power plants of 660 megawatt.
Mirpur Khas Divisional Commission Shafiq Ahmed Mehasar has said that the power plants have been installed at Thar Coal Block-II at 100-acre land near Butra Village. On the other hand, 15,000-megawatt electricity will be generated from Thar coal till 2025 and in this regard the work on Thar coal has been accelerated with the support of federal government.
