Rehman Malik leaves for London to meet Zardari

Former interior minister says PPP will not be part of any sit-in, protest or rally

ISLAMABAD - Former interior minister Rehman Malik on Saturday left for London to meet former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari to discuss Panama leaks.

Before departing for London, Rehman sent a letter to the Interpol’s general secretary demanding formation of inquiry committee over Panama Papers leaks. He said that investigation against Panama leaks should be launched at first priority. He said that legal action at international level is needed. He advised not to fight over Panama Papers.

Talking to media personsm, he said that the PPP would not be the part of any sit-in, protest or rally. He clarified that Zardari is in London due to his illness, whereas PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has already told about the meeting of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Zardari.
