MQM, PPP might join long march: Sheikh Rasheed

ISLAMABAD - Chief Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said the situation had reached an extent that PPP and MQM might also join the 'independence march' of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on August 14 inIslamabad.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said a sea of people was headingIslamabadto play a final round on August 14. Nor people will confront with the army nor soldiers will open fire on masses, he said.

The AML chief said Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan had got late 'as usual' [in mediating between the opposition and the government].

No political leader could now withdraw the call of long march, he maintained. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would be responsible if situation got deteriorated.
