Miranshah, Mirali, Boya, Degan area up till Dattakhel cleared: ISPR

RAWALPINDI - The operation Zarb-e-Azb is progressing well as towns of Miranshah, Mirali, Boya, Degan and area up till Dattakhel have been cleared.
The clearance of pockets of resistance in between Miranshah-Mirali in villages Momin Gul Ziarat, Darpakhel, Tappi, Spalga and south of Tochi River is in progress, said ISPR here on Monday.
During clearance of surrounding areas of Mirali in Shahbaz Khel, 75 rockets, large number of IEDs and suicide jackets were recovered today.
One more improvised explosive devices (IEDs) manufacturing factory was discovered in Umer Ki Kalli, located in the outskirts of Mirali. During search and clearance, huge quantity of IEDs, chemicals and propaganda literature was also recovered.
While the clearance of Miranshah-Dattaakhel road was in progress, a snap operation was carried out on a Uzbek terrorists hideouts by army troops in Datta Khel Bazar.
Meanwhile, two soldiers (Naib Subedar Mashkoor and Lance Naik Zaheer) were martyred and seven Ubzek terrorists killed.
