INP

ISLAMABAD – Former prime minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PM's House.

In the meeting, the prevailing political issues were discussed. During the meeting, Jamali said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan should not have rejected the PM's offer to form judicial commission for impartial probe of rigging allegations in the 2013 general polls. He said that the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf chief was given a chance to prove his allegations levelled against the government.

Jamali said that Imran Khan proved himself politically immature by rejecting the PM's offer. Prime Minister Nawaz told Jamali that the decision to offer probe of poll rigging was taken in the interest of Pakistan. He said that a letter to the Supreme Court was also sent in this regard.

The prime minister said that all political and democratic forces have agreed to strengthen the democracy. Jamali advised the prime minister to allow PTI to hold 'Azadi March' in Islamabad on assurance of remaining peaceful during the rally.
