Haq stresses political solution for current turmoil
LAHORE: Chief of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Siraj-ul-Haq has stressed political solution for the current turmoil, saying that it is the need of the hour to resolve the issue politically.
Addressing a press conference here Friday, Sirajul appealed the government to form a negotiating team and resolve the issue politically instead of waiting for the sit-ins.
JI Chief said that it would be difficult to unite the nation if the constitution suspended.
He further said that protecting the constitution and democracy was the most important thing. He asked the politicians to chalk out effective strategy instead of becoming silent spectators.
Government should ensure that Gujranwala like incident would not take place again, Haq added.
