INP

LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has condemned clashes between Pakistan Muslim League-N and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers in Gujranwala and ordered strict action whoever is responsible for the incident.

He also appealed the PML-N workers to show restraint and directed the Punjab police chief to provide extra security to participants of the ‘Azadi March.’ Shahbaz directed the DCOs and DPOs to make every possible effort to maintain law and order and keep an eye on anti-social elements.

The PTI leaders claimed that four workers were injured in the incident. Shahbaz said that Imran Khan has launched protest rally to hide worst performance of his party's government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that the PTI chief has made an undemocratic and unconstitutional statement by demanding a technocrat government.

The chief minister said the PTI leadership has broken all records of telling lies in politics, adding that demands of the PTI and the PAT were unconstitutional. He said that the masses would foil all plans that tend to slid Pakistan towards instability.

The chief minister said that neither the prime minister would resign nor mid-term election would take place.
