‘Protests may take Pakistan to anarchy’
KARACHI – International media in their reports on protests and long marches in Pakistan said on Tuesday these marches may take the country to anarchy.
New York Times writes that the marches of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehrik Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri had made people lives paralyzed in the capital city; citizens were asking for what reason they were being punished?
According to The Guardian, the two leaders could not gather one million people, while public lives were paralyzed by calling the contingents of cops in the Islamabad city. Another newspaper writes that already Pakistan has been suffering from economic problems, and after the announcement of civil disobedience it would increase the anarchy threats.
Daily Mail said about the march of Imran Khan that it was the first time in the history of Pakistan that any leader had restrained his workers to pay the utility bills. An Indian newspaper said already terrorist attacks were happening in Pakistan and after the long marches and protest activities it would increase the chaos in Pakistan.
BBC News said after the announcement of civil disobedience, the situation changed radically. Before the speech of Imran Khan, the crowd was going to the stage and but after the announcement of civil disobedience the crowed turned back, as they were not satisfied with this decision.
