ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Wednesday commanded his ‘Revolution March’ participants to surround the Parliament House, make hostage all those inside the building and do not allow others to enter it till the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

“Don't allow even a mosquito to enter or exit the parliament. Anyone going out of the parliament would jump over our dead bodies,” he told his supporters during his address. He made the announcement as the National Assembly was in session and the prime minister had just entered into the hall. Dr Qadri said that they allowed the prime minister to enter the parliament so that all the prey was at one place and they would not be allowed to come out now.

He said that the parliament was fake as Article 62 and 63 of the constitution have been violated. Dr Qadri said that he can no more test patience of the participants and warned that they could become violent for the attainment of their rights and asked the prime minister and the Punjab chief minister to resign before that time.

Giving a short deadline to the government, “I cannot let the elderly and sick remain in agony. I cannot control my people for long. If too much control is exerted then my supporters will turn against me,” he said. He appealed the supporters to perform their assigned duties and not to resort to vandalism or violence. He asked for the sanctity of the National Assembly to be maintained.

“We shall remain peaceful and state institutions would not be harmed. These are our installations, our war is not with the building rather with those illegally occupying these buildings,” he said. The PAT chief warned against resorting to violence against the Pakistan Army personnel and said that any person found guilty of attacking the army personnel would have no association with him or his party. "Raise pro-army slogans when you come face to face with the army personnel," Qadri instructed his supporters.
