Zardari, Jamaat agree to resolve crisis through dialogue

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari visited Jamaat-e-Islami headquarters on Saturday in Mansoora as part of his efforts to cool down the political temperature in the country.
During the meeting Mr Zardari and Jamaat Amir Sirajul Haq discussed political situation and agreed to resolve all the issues through negotiations.

Speaking to media after the meeting, Sirajul Haq said that for the first time all the political parties were united for the democracy beyond their personal and political interests.

He said that Mr Zardari had setup a four member PPP committee that would be in touch with the Jamaat.

Haq said that nobody want any harm to democracy and the constitution due to chaos and emotional atmosphere.
He said that he had asked Imran Khan: “Don’t show haste and withdraw your resignations”.
