Kaira urges govt, PTI to show flexibility
Ex-minister asks Imran Khan not to put whole system in test
INP

LAHORE – Former Information and Broadcasting minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to withdraw its resignations from the National Assembly, saying it is premature to demand prime minister's resignation.

Talking with journalists, Kaira said that Imran Khan should not put the whole system in test. "There is a need to resolve this impasse within the ambit of constitution," he said. He also called upon the government to show some flexibility to end the deadlock.

"Our party believes in democracy. We have rendered huge sacrifices for the sake of democracy," he said. It should be noted here that Imran Khan has recommended the name of Kaira as a mediator for talks with the government.
