COAS General Raheel visits Corps headquarters Karachi
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday visited Corps Headquarters Karachi.
According to a press release, he was given detailed briefing on operational training and administrative matters of the Karachi Corps.
He was also briefed about overall law and order and security situation in Karachi.
Earlier on arrival at Karachi COAS was received by Lieutenant General Sajjad Ghani, Corps Commander Karachi.
Later COAS visited Headquarters Airports Security Force ASF.
Speaking to the troops of ASF, COAS commended their professionalism commitment and acknowledged their valor in averting a terrorists attack at Karachi airport in May this year.
COAS met the families of ASF shuhada and appreciated their sacrifices.
General Raheel emphasized the need for more harmony and coordination among all security forces and intelligence agencies for an integrated response towards defeating terrorists threat.
He also pledged Army’s fullest support in enhancing ASF’s capacity and anti-terrorists training of the troops as being provided to police forces across the country. (PPI)
