Sindh CM visits ailing cricket legend Hanif

KARACHI: Newly elected Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah visited the private hospital to enquire after ailing cricket legend Hanif Mohammad on Monday.

Hanif was hospitalised due to complications from a recurring cancer disease. Murad was also accompanied by Sindh Minister for Home Affairs Manzoor Wasaan. On the occasion, the chief minister said that the provincial government would not abandon the legendary cricketer. He said that if he was not a politician he would have been a cricketer.

He announced Rs 1 million for the medical treatment of the ailing cricketer. He prayed for early recovery of the legend cricketer.

Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced that the federal government would bear all the expenses of the cricket legend’s treatment. “We will leave no stone unturned for the treatment of Hanif Mohammad," the prime minister said in a statement issued by the PM House.
