PML-N files reference against Imran
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz (PML N) has filed a reference seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan as member National Assembly.
The reference was filed with the Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
Tallal Chaudhry, MNA of the ruling party wrote in the reference that Khan doesn’t meet the criteria set out in article 62 and 63 of the constitution, whereas, a disqualified person has no right to sit in the assembly.
He further said in the reference Imran Khan set up offshore company and he did not even declare his assets.
The speaker summoned the secretary national assembly for reviewing the reference.
The reference would be sent to NA secretariat for further action after it is approved.
