Karachiites will choose their own mayor: Farooq Sattar
Karachi: MQM's nominated mayor Waseem Akhtar would win the elections with a heavy mandate, said Farooq Sattar on Friday.
Addressing an event held at the Pak Pharma and Health Care exhibition at Expo Centre, MQM leader Farooq
Sattar emphasized the importance of the pharma sector in advancement and development of Pakistan.
In his statement, he appreciated Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah for showing interest in provincial issues
and working with enthusiasm.
Talking about the mayor of Karachi, Sattar said that he would be one who'd be chosen by the people of Karachi.
"In rural areas of Sindh, PPP have set their mandate, while MQM have been given
mandate in urban areas of the province. However, MQM is not being given an equal part in development funds," Dr. Farooq Sattar claimed.
Farooq Sattar further said that human rights should be considered while the Rangers' operation takes place and law and order must not be disturbed.
