Pakistan offers medical treatment to victims of Indian held Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday offered to arrange medical treatment for victims of state oppression by Indian security forces in Occupied Kashmir on immediate basis.

In a statement, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the magnitude of humanitarian crisis in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) has compelled us to immediately pool our material and human resources for treating the victims.

The Prime Minster has called upon the international community to stress upon India for enabling Pakistan to arrange for the medical treatment of the victims of pellet guns who have lost their eye sights.

He has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to mobilize support of international political leadership, the humanitarian organizations and civil society through Pakistan Missions Abroad in exerting influence over India.

Nawaz Sharif said the health-care providers in Indian Occupied Kashmir are not being allowed to treat the victims and Indian security forces are targeting hospitals and ambulances serving the defenceless Kashmiris.

He added that the Government of Pakistan will arrange for the boarding, lodging and expenses on the medical treatment for the victims.
