Quetta blast: PAF sends aircraft to transport patients

Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman scrambles ‘C-130 Hercules’ to shift those needing specialised medical care to hospitals across country

RAWALPINDI: Two critically injured in Quetta’s hospital blast on Monday are being shifted to Karachi for better medical care in military air ambulance.

According to ISPR, the health authorities have also been considering to shift, in addition to these two patients, another 20 seriously injured are being transported to other hospitals of the country for specialised medical care.

All these injured would be evacuated to country’s other hospitals in military air ambulances, being provided by Pakistan Air Force under the direction of the Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman.

According to PAF, a C-130 Hercules aircraft has been converted to serve as air ambulance and made available to the authorities concerned for transportation of injured to other parts of the country.
