Farooq Haider confirms reassigning powers to lower levels
Kashmir’s PM says authority to be relocated to resolve public issues, vows to launch ‘new era of development’
By: APPMUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan said on Monday that transfer of power to grassroots level would be ensured and issues of the common people would also be resolved at lower level and local body elections would be held very soon.
He was talking to different delegations including representatives of Kashmiri refugees and public figures besides the Minister for Education Syed Iftikhar Gilani and Minister for Development Chaudhry Aziz in the PM Secretariat.
The prime minister said that government has started its functioning after formation of the cabinet and strategies are being evolved for development of liberated territory. He said the people would be compensated with good deliverance of government and setting up a society consisting on social justice.
“The previous regime of PPP promoted corruption, injustice and violation of merit but PML-N government will discourage such all ill practices by setting up good governance and people will feel change in this regard,” he said.
Haider said that the liberated area would be put on track of progress in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and a new era of development would be launched.
