PML-N files disqualification reference against Jahangir Tareen
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has filed disqualification reference against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Jahangir Khan Tareen to Speaker National Assembly.
The reference was submitted to Speaker NA in his chamber.
In the reference, submitted by PML-N’s Talal Chaudhry, Daniyal Aziz and Maiza Hameed, accused Jahangir Tareen for hiding tax details and giving fake information in tax returns.
PML-N has urged to take legal actions against PTI leader as per article 63/2 of the Constitution.
Jahangir Tareen’s Reaction
Reacting on PML-N’s reference, Jahangir Tareen remarked, “I had not laughed for many days but now I openly did so over the reference.”
He went on to say the entire nation knows I am Pakistan’s forefront tax payer politician.
He asserted that he would stand by Imran Khan despite all such fake references.
“Whether I remain part of the assembly or not, Ehtesab Tehreek will continue,” he said and added he would take this campaign to its logical end with Imran Khan.
