Congo scare dampens Eidul Azha preparations

By PPI

KARACHI: Scare of spread of Congo virus has dampened the preparations of citizens to celebrate coming Eidul Azha.

Many people are avoiding to visit Cow Mandi (cattle market) due to fear of catching the deadly virus. They fear that proper precautionary measures are missing at the cattle market.

Many people say they would not bring sacrificial animals to their homes but offer their sacrifices through the religious parties and philanthropists away from their homes.

However, the government and the contractors of the animal market are taking steps to improve precautionary steps against the Congo virus.

The citizens have also demanded from the government to stop the traders of animals bringing the sacrificial animals to streets in residential areas to sell them.
