Will make Karachi clean like it used to be: Sindh CM

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said on Monday vowed to clean up Karachi and restore it to its clean state like before.

Speaking to media personnel, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that he had witnessed Karachi's Empress Market area being washed when he used to be a child. Murad vowed to make Karachi clean like the city used to be. Murad Ali Shah claimed that after Karachi, work would also be done in the other cities of Sindh.

Murad Ali Shah said that the concerned departments had registered satisfactory performances. He said that it had been three weeks since he had assumed the office of the Chief Minister of Sindh and already he had given approval for seventeen projects.

"In the meeting held before, I had given some targets. Have given more tasks to my team for the coming days," said Murad. "Instead of talking, I put in work," he added. Murad said that instead of giving statements, he believed in taking action. The Sindh Chief Minister said that if he said something and then later was not able to achieve it, everyone will hold him responsible.

He also spoke about the law and order situation in Karachi and said that there were no incidences of child kidnappings in Karachi.

"Children are not being kidnapped in Karachi, these are just rumours," he said. "Criminals will not be spared," he added further.

Murad Ali Shah commented on former Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza and said that he had no clue what Mirza used to say. He refused to comment on Mirza's statement, stating that he had become history now. Murad said that he would make trips all over Sindh and said that he would meet MQM representatives when they come to meet him with their problems.
