Report on criminal police officers submitted at SC
KARACHI: Interim report against alleged policemen, involved in various crimes, was submitted on Monday at the Supreme Court Karachi Registry.
The report was submitted by Head of Inquiry Committee, Additional IG CDD Sanaullah Abbasi in the Supreme Court. Case hearing was conducted under in Karachi Registry of Supreme Court. On the court’s query, IG Sanaullah Abbasi told that AD Khuwaja is presiding over the inquiry committee. He also informed the court that AD Khuwaja was assigned as head after being appointed IG Sindh, for which the Home Ministry had also issued its notification.
Sanaullah Abbasi added that investigation of more than 12000 policemen is in process while suggestions have also been made to take action against 1370 alleged policemen involved in crime.
The court gave the committee time to complete the investigation and directed them to present a report at the court every three months.
