Nisar says formal reference against Altaf being sent to Britain

KARACHI: A formal reference against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain will be sent to the British government over hate speech and inciting violence, said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

Talking to journalists at Governor House, Nisar said, “Karachi can’t be held hostage over phone call of one person.”

He went on to say, “We all are on the same page pertaining to law and order in the port city.”

Nisar also directed the authorities concerned to ensure security of media houses.

Earlier, Nisar held meeting with Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan. Both the leaders agreed that stern action would be taken against those talking against Pakistan.

Sindh Governor asserted that peace in Karachi would be maintained at any cost.

Nisar Ali Khan also held meeting with CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah and discussed law and order.
