NewsImran Khan failed to present evidence to support claims: lawyer
LAHORE: The counsel of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Saturday said even today no evidence on the alleged rigging was presented on behalf of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
Talking to media men here following Imran Khan’s recording of his statement before the tribunal, the counsel of Ayaz Sadiq said the court will decide as to what would be the significance of evidence coming from Imran Khan.
He said although today’s proceedings were very important, yet Imran Khan failed to come up with any evidence in support of his charges.
The counsel further said that during today’s exercise Imran Khan was asked to present evidence in any form but the latter only said that he had no idea, because at that time he was recovering in a hospital.
He said it was happening for the first time that the court is being asked to produce the evidence.
