South African army chief calls on Gen Sharif

RAWALPINDI - South African Army Chief Lieutenant General Vusumuzi Ramakala Masondo called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters (GHQ), Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.
During the meeting matters of mutual interest came under discussion. The South African army chief lauded the professional prowess and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism and espoused vigor in bolstering mutually beneficial defence ties.
Earlier, on arrival at GHQ, Lt Gen Vusumuzi Ramakala Masondo laid a floral wreath at “Yadgar-e-Shuhada”. The Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour to the South African army chief.
