Envoys of seven countries present credentials to president

ISLAMABAD - Envoys of seven countries presented credentials to President Mamnoon Hussain here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday at an impressive ceremony.

The ambassadors of Vietnam, France, Greece, Austria, Colombia, Namibia and Venezuela Ambassadors also called on the president separately and discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. The President felicitated the newly appointed ambassadors to Pakistan and expressed the hope that they will work for further cementing existing ties of their respective countries with Pakistan.

The President also wished the newly appointed envoys a comfortable and pleasant stay in Pakistan. National anthems of Pakistan and the respective countries were played as the designated envoys arrived at the President’s House. Guard of honour was presented to the Ambassador of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Luu, Ambassador of France Martine Dorance, Ambassador designate of Greece Dimitrios Zoitos, Ambassador of Austria Dr Brigitta Blaha, Ambassador of Colombia Dr Fernando Panesso Serna based in Ankara, High Commissioner of Kingdom of Namibia non-resident based in Beijing Ringo F Abed and Ambassador of Venezuela Amenothep Zambrano also a non-resident based in Tehran.
