Just form JC, we’ll withdraw protest call: Imran Khan to Govt

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan Sunday said his party will withdraw its call for protest only if the government constitutes the proposed Judicial Commission to probe the ‘rigging of elections’.

Addressing a press conference here, the PTI Chief said forced closure of shops will not be undertaken in Lahore.

“Lahore will be shut down tomorrow; we will block the roads,” Imran Khan said and at the same time offered an apology to the people of Lahore for the inconvenience but added ‘we are not doing all this to fulfill a personal agenda’.

He said his party would put up a fight in case Pakistan Muslim League-N unleashed its ‘Gullu Butts’ tomorrow.

Imran Khan said his party’s leaders including Asad Umer and Jehangir Tarin were holding dialogue with the government, adding his party has also prepared an MOU in this regard.

“We will have the government put their signatures against points on which they had already expressed agreement,” he said.
