Punjab police gives free hand to PTI in Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab police gave a free hand to Pakistan Tehreek –e Insaaf activists in Lahore on Monday to burn tyres and block roads without any resistance from the authorities.

DCO Lahore Capt retired Usman Anwer said that PTI had assured they will close 18 points of Lahore but went on to close 26 points. He also said that the law and order was under control and they were trying to make sure that there are no clashes between PML-N and PTI activists.

Talking to media DCO Lahore said that PTI had closed 26 points but the traffic in the rest of the city was normal and motor cyclists were moving freely. He further said that they were trying their best to keep the day to day life as normal as possible.
