BALKASAR - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday rejecting the politics of hooliganism by the activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said that dialogue and sit-in cannot go side by side.

“If PTI abstains from violence, dialogue can make advancement,” the prime minister said in a brief chat with journalists after the formal launch of renovation of Lahore-Islamabad motorway, near Chakwal. He criticised the PTI’s politics of protests and said “What kind of culture the protestors are exhibiting and teaching the new generation.” He said that aim of the protestors was to create hurdles in the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

“We have set our goals to achieve the targets of national prosperity,” he said. Earlier, the prime minister launched the overlay and reconstruction work of the motorway by operating the specially imported equipment used for scraping the old road and laying a fresh surface.
