Punjab govt to open 250 schools for bricks kiln worker's children

BAHAWALPUR – Punjab government took a remarkable initiative to educate the neglected class as more than 250 informal schools will be opened in three districts of Bahawalpur division for the children of bricks kiln workers.

This was stated by Bahawalpur Commissioner Division Capt (Retd) Javed Akbar while talking to newsmen on Sunday. He said that 14 schools will start working in Bahawalpur district during this month while 50 informal schools will start functioning till June 2015 in the district to educate the children of the most neglected class of the bricks kiln workers, who could not even bear the expenses to educate their children. Some 200 informal schools will also be established in Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar districts.
