Regional cooperation is must for progress in the region: Sartaj Aziz


ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz urged the regional countries to enhance cooperation for ensuring progress and prosperity in the entire region.

Addressing a seminar here on Tuesday, Sartaj stressed upon the need of taking collaborate measures for eradicating poverty and ensuring prosperity in the region.

The advisor said that the progress in health and education sectors is the most is pivotal for prosperity in the region. This can only be ensured through cooperation among the regional countries.

The advisor was also of the opinion that CPEC is an important project which will prove to be a game changer for the region.

The advisor said mutual cooperation at provincial and national level is a process to achieve the goal of sustainable development in Pakistan. “Pakistan is pursuing a policy of preferential trade over financial aid, by investing in common man, many issues within a state can be averted before they arise or get worse”, he added.
