Shahbaz orders to reduce transport fares as petrol prices ease

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday said that the petroleum prices cut-off is a New Year’s gift to the nation and vowed to continue giving such reliefs to the nation.
According to details, the chief minister stated that the reduction in petroleum products prices is heartening news for the nation. The petrol prices have been dropped for the third time during the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League-N government. He further vowed to lower the prices of commodities and transportation as early as possible.
Moreover, the chief minister has ordered the relevant departments to provide maximum relief to the people. Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ordered to reduce the prices of petroleum products by Rs 14 per liter as a gift of New Year.
