Imran decides to fight Chaudhry Iftikhar’s defamation notice

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday said that he will contest the defamation case filed by former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry.

Talking to journalists at his Bani Gala residence before departure for Peshawar, he remarked “I don’t have Rs.20 billion, will borrow from Arslan Iftikhar since he had made lots of money”. Imran declared that Pakistan Muslim League-N government is worse than the previous five-year rule of Pakistan People’s Party. “Nawaz Sharif’s government turned out to be more incompetent than Zardari’s government,” he said .To a question, the he said that if petrol shortage is a conspiracy against the government, it would definitely be hatched by ruling PML-N itself.

“Now no one could blame the PTI sit-in for the current petrol crisis,” he said. He said that he was all set to announce the country lockdown, but, he said that Sharif’s government itself shut down Pakistan by creating petrol crisis. On issue of alleged election rigging, he said that formation of judicial commission is essential for better future of Pakistan. He said that he is visiting Peshawar, where Chehlum of Army Public School martyrs is being observed in Chief Minister’s House. He said that he would meet parents of the martyred schoolchildren at CM House, where the provincial government would make announcements to alleviate the sufferings of aggrieved families.
