Govt merely playing ‘meeting-meeting’ on National Action Plan: Mazari

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Shireen Mazari said on Wednesday that the government was entirely at fault for the fuel crisis and the Prime Minister and other ministers responsible should resign.

Mazari addressing a press conference said that the National Action Plan is not being followed through at all and while the military is playing its role accurately, the government is simply playing meeting-meeting.

She went on to say that the government has trapped itself into a narrow alley and that as long as the PTI’s dharnas went on, the petrol prices in the country remained stable and low. Mazari further said that questions regarding Pakistan State Oil (PSO) were asked by PTI but the government failed to provide any answers and accept any responsibility.

The Central Information Secretary said that the while the nation is going through such difficult times, the Prime Minister is going to the Davos meeting.

While responding to a question, Mazari said that now that the resignations of Sindh Assembly’s PTI members have been accepted, the resignations of the members of the National Assembly as well as the Punjab Assembly should also be accepted.
