‘PML-N efforts to raise living standards of people’

SIALKOT - Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said that the PML-N government was making all out efforts to raise the living standards of the people by ensuring provision of basic facilities to the masses.

Addressing the participants of a ceremony after inaugurating the regional passport office in Narowal, he stressed that the need of adopting democratic behaviours for becoming a civilized nation. He said that the government was committed to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan while comprehensive steps have been taken in this regard.

He said that armed forces of Pakistan were fully capable to weed out terrorism, adding that no one would be allowed to use land of Pakistan for terrorism. Earlier, addressing a meeting, the minister said that construction of Sports City project of Rs 2.7 billion was in progress which would promote indoor and outdoor games and sports activities in Narowal.

He said that all political parties should get united by shunning their political differences in larger national interest which would help in crushing terrorism, ensuring political and economic stability. MPA Khwaja Waseem, Sialkot DCO Najaf Iqbal, Narowal PML-N president Malik Tariq and others were also present on this occasion. Later, the minister also visited under construction Sports City project at Narowal.
