PM chairs meeting on Energy and National Action Plan

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed satisfaction over the petrol supply situation in Pakistan and directed all relevant ministries and departments to ensure seamless coordination to avoid any recurrence.

He was chairing a meeting that discussed important national issues including energy situation and progress on the implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) to combat terrorism. The meeting was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Ishaq Dar and Minister for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. The chief minister apprised the prime minister of the progress made by the province in implementing the NAP.

The prime minister said that the government was committed to eradicate terrorism and extremism from Pakistan and asked other provinces to speed up the process of implementing this program. He said that all political parties unanimously agreed on the 20 points of NAP and it was the responsibility of all the federating units of Pakistan to implement it in its letter and spirit.
