Air chief discuss defence ties with King of Bahrain

MANAMA - Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt called on King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at Safriya Palace, Manama (Bahrain) on Tuesday and discussed defence ties with him.

The king welcomed the air chief and conveyed his greetings to the President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as well as his best wishes for the progress and prosperity of Pakistani people. The king expressed his satisfaction on the level of brotherly relations and bilateral cooperation in various fields. He also expressed Bahrain’s keenness to further boost cooperation with Pakistan in the field of defence in general and Air force in particular.

Both the dignitaries underlined the importance of exchanging such visits and maintaining consultation and coordination to further promote cordial between the two brotherly countries. The regional and international issues of common concern were also discussed at length. Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt is on an official visit to Bahrain on the special invitation of Royal Bahrain Air Force.
