Musharraf treason case: 2007 emergency documents presented
ISLAMABAD: The original documents of the November 3, 2007 emergency were presented in the special court hearing the treason case of former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
During proceedings of the case, witnesses appeared on behalf of the prosecution. Cabinet Division Section Officer, Kaleem Shehzad recorded his statement in court and was cross-examined by Musharraf’s lawyers. Shehzad presented the original documents pertaining to the 2007 emergency and PCO.
The former president is being tried for treason for subverting and circumventing the Constitution when he imposed emergency in 2007.
