Man taken into custody from Muscat-Lahore flight cleared, freed

LAHORE: Airport Security Forces (ASF) released the terror suspect taken into custody from a private airline flight flying to Lahore from Muscat, after interrogation on Tuesday.

The apprehended man was identified as Sadullah, a 40 year old resident of Lahore. Investigation revealed that Sadullah was an ordinary worker, earning a living in Muscat.

The ASF have confirmed that Sadullah was in no way connected with any terror activities and have allowed him to go home.

Sadullah was taken into custody after passengers informed the pilot that he had declared himself to be a terrorist. The pilot informed the authorities at Allama Iqbal International Airport after which red alert was declared at the airport and special arrangements were made for the flight to land at the Hajj terminal. ASF officials then stormed the airplane taking the suspect in custody, ensuring the safety of 300 passengers.
