Nisar ‘back to work’ from Punjab House; has no grudge against Dar
* Interior minister says he met with prime minister neither to complain against any minister nor anyone is interfering in his ministry * Denies party divided into groups

ISLAMABAD: Despite reaching an understanding with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is operating from the Punjab House.
According to sources, the interior minister decided to operate from the Punjab House until all his reservations were removed in line with the assurances of the prime minister.
On Monday, Ch Nisar held separate meetings with the officers of the Interior Ministry in the Punjab House and issued directives pertaining to important matters. Meanwhile, sources said that among other reasons, Ch Nisar had differences on the appointment of Shahid Khan as the interior secretary without consulting him.
Nisar also clarified on Monday that he had no personal grudges with anybody, including Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
Nisar in a statement issued on Monday said that the focus and objective of the series of recently held meetings with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was to discuss key political and national matters.
He categorically said that the purpose of his recently held meeting with the prime minister was not to lodge a complaint against any minister. “It is a matter of fact that I enjoy good terms not only with the cabinet colleagues but also with the entire parliamentary party members,” he said.
“How this is possible that the country is stuck in the quagmire of problems and I take up my personal problems. Neither this happened before nor will it happen now.”
He further clarified that none of the ministers was interfering or could interfere in matters of his ministry.
He said that he was shocked to listen and read that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s name was being attached time and again with him in connection with having bad terms. He said there was no truth in such news; rather he held him (Dar) in high esteem.
“Instead of a misunderstanding, we have a relation of respect and deference and the same atmosphere exists with regard to other members of the cabinet,” he added.
The interior minister dismissed the perception that the PML-N had divided. However, he added that if any minister was covertly acting against him to get publicity and satisfied with his act, he “does not give importance to him”, as it was normal in political parties.
Nisar said that he would be worried when criticism comes from someone who was honest, truthful and a man of character.
